IBPS PO 2024 Application Process
The application process for IBPS PO 2024 is entirely online. Candidates can follow these steps to apply:
- Visit the official website: Go to the official website of IBPS (www.ibps.in).
- Registration: Click on the “New Registration” link and enter basic information to generate a provisional registration number and password (sent to registered mobile no. and email ID).
- Fill Application Form: Log in with the registration number and password to complete the application form. Fill in personal, educational, and other required details accurately.
- Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration as per the specifications mentioned in the notification.
- Pay Application Fee: Pay the application fee online through net banking, credit card, or debit card. The fee is non-refundable and varies according to the candidate’s category.
- Submit Application: Review all details carefully and submit the application form. Save a copy of the submitted form and the e-receipt of the fee payment for future reference.

IBPS PO Notification 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the IBPS PO 2024 examination:
- Educational Qualification: A candidate must possess a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Additionally, they should have the operating and working knowledge of computer systems.
- Age Limit: The minimum age for application is 20 years, and the maximum age is 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
- Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, etc., with the intention of permanently settling in India.
IBPS PO 2024 Selection Process
The final selection is based on the cumulative performance in all three stages:
- Preliminary Exam: Qualifying in nature
- Main Exam: Weightage in the final merit list
- Interview: Weightage in the final merit list
The IBPS PO selection process is rigorous because of its position in India’s Banking System. Candidates have to go through a three-stage selection process i.e. Prelims, Mains & Interviews.
- Preliminary Exam: This is a qualifying exam consisting of three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. Each section has 20 minutes with a total of 100 marks.
- Main Exam: This consists of Objective Tests (Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation) and a Descriptive Test (Letter Writing & Essay).
- Interview: Candidates who clear the main exam are called for a personal interview conducted by participating banks and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each state/UT.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2024
The eligibility criteria required for IBPS PO 2024 Exam in terms of educational degree, computer literacy, language proficiency, and age limit has been discussed below-
IBPS PO Educational Qualification
Graduation Degree: The eligibility criteria for the IBPS CRP exam is as basic as a graduation degree (BA, BCom, BSc, B.Tech or as such) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India. Any such candidate who has received equivalent qualification which is recognized by the Central Government is also eligible to apply for this exam.
The candidates must have a valid mark sheet / Degree Certificate that certifies that they are a graduate on the day they register for this exam, and must indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering for the IBPS Bank-PO examination.
Computer Literacy: Working knowledge of computer systems is necessary for the job as well as to give the IBPS PO exam which is conducted in online mode.
Language Proficiency: Verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT is desirable. The candidate must be able to read, write and speak the language.
Nationality / Citizenship of Applicants
A candidate applying for the IBPS CRP/Bank PO Examination must be one of the following:
1. Citizen of India
2. Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
3. Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
4. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire,Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India
Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favour.
IBPS PO Age Limit
Any candidate who is applying for the IBPS PO examination should not be less than 20 years old and not more than 30 years old at the time of registration. In addition to this, there is an age relaxation application to category-wise candidates as per the government rules:

IBPS PO Recruitment 2024
Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainees (MT) are recruited every year through a Common Recruitment Process (CRP), commonly known as the IBPS PO exam. The CRP was started in 2011 and is being conducted for the 13th time this year and hence is officially called IBPS PO /MT CRP XIV 2024. The IBPS PO selection process consists of 3 phases (preliminary, mains and interview) and the candidate must qualify each of them to proceed to the next phase. IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern 2024
The IBPO PO Main Exam is conducted via online mode, it has 5 (4+1) sections carrying marks 200+25 and duration of exam is 180+30 minutes. IBPS conducts a descriptive paper for selection of candidates for PO vacancies during its IBPS PO Mains Exam. The parts must be completed in the same order and in the same time that was allocated during the exam. Candidate must qualify both the preliminary and the main exam to get selected for the Interview round.
