IBPS PO 2020 Recruitment (Supplementary) Window Reopened: The Institute of Banking personnel Selection has announced on 24 October 2020 to reopen the registration Window for IBPS Probationary Officer (PO) from 28 October to 11 November 2020. The IBPS will conduct an additional cycle of Online Prelims exams for IBPS PO.

The IBPS will conduct PO Online Prelims Exam for this fresh registration cycle on 5th and 6th January 2021. 

IBPS PO Online Registration to reopen from 28th October

IBPS is giving a fresh opportunity to all the candidates who couldn’t apply due to the delay in their final degree result, can now apply. if they fulfill the new eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification can apply online for IBPS PO 2020 Recruitment from 28th October. All those who had applied successfully during the registration window for CRP- PO/MT-X from 05.08.20 to 26.08.20 and were called for the Online Preliminary Examination in October 2020 for a particular post should NOT apply for that post.

New Eligibility Critera for IBPS PO 2020

In the new official notice by IBPS for PO registration reopen, the IBPS has made a new change in the educational eligibility criteria-  “as on date” to allow students who have graduated post lockdown to apply for IBPS PO.  Check what official notification says-

“The last date of eligibility, in terms of educational qualifications is changed to 01.11.2020. For other terms and conditions, candidates are requested to refer the Detailed Advertisement of CRP-PO/MT-X dated 04.08.2020. Revised Vacancies as received upto 26.10.2020 have been updated in the detailed advertisement on IBPS authorised website.

Before registering online, candidates are advised to read the detailed notification dated 04.08.2020 and follow the instructions mentioned therein.”

IBPS PO 2020 Vacancies Increased

IBPS has also mentioned the increase in vacancies and said- ‘Revised Vacancies as received up to 26.10.2020 have been updated in the detailed advertisement’. That means the updated vacancies will be published soon on the official site.

IBPS PO 2020: Selection Process

The candidates will be appointed on the basis of their performance in the three stages of the IBPS PO Exam 2020. There are three stages of IBPS PO Exam.

  1. Prelims Exam
  2. Mains Exam
  3. Interview

The candidates will have score a section cut-off as well as an overall cut-off. The selection process requires the qualification of each stage in order to get finally selected. The prelims round is qualifying while the mains exam requires the minimum cut-off marks to appear for the interview round. Interviews will be conducted by the participating organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT. The interview round holds 100 marks.

Exam pattern is the detail of the examination covering the question type, sections of the exam, duration of the exam, number of questions asked. The IBPS PO Exam consists three stages:

IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern

The prelims exam consists of a total of 100 questions with a time duration of 60 minutes. Question type remains Multiple Choice questions. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks in the exam for each wrong answer. This round is only qualifying in nature.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern

Questions type are again Multiple Choice with a slightly higher difficulty level. The Number of questions and the duration of the exam is higher. There is a negative marking of 0.25 for every incorrect answer. Refer to the table for a brief of exam pattern for mains:

IBPS PO Interview

The interview is the final stage of IBPS PO Exam.

  • Candidates qualifying with good marks in Prelims and mains will finally be appearing for the interview process.
  • The interview round is of 100 marks.
  • The final score is calculated by IBPS with a weightage of marks given to the main examination and interview the ratio of 80:20 respectively.

IBPS PO Salary

The gross monthly emoluments of a PO range between Rs. 37,360 –38,700/-. This varies from location to location.
