LIC AAO Syllabus: Candidates must have started preparing for the examinations as the Life Insurance Corporation of India is expected to release the LIC AAO Recruitment notification soon. It is not easy to clear the LIC AAO Recruitment Examination as lakhs of aspirants apply for the recruitment. The selection process involves two examinations – a preliminary exam and a main exam – and an interview.

  • The Preliminary Exam will be conducted for 100 marks, in which the questions will be related to the English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.
  • After the qualifying preliminary examination, candidates will have to appear for the Main Examination, which is different for AAO Legal and AAO IT, AAO Chartered Accountant, AAO Actuarial, and AAO Rajbhasha posts.

LIC AAO AE Selection Process

There will be three stages of the selection process for LIC AAO 2023 Recruitment. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase I) will not be added for the selection as the prelim exam is qualifying in nature. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained by a candidate in LIC AAO Main Examination (Phase II) and Interview.

LIC AAO Prelims Exam Pattern 2023

  1. The exam will be conducted online and the duration will be 1 hour or 60 minutes (20 minutes for each section).
  2. There are 3 sections, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. Each question is given 1 mark.
  3. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks in the prelims exam.
  4. LIC AAO Prelims is qualifying in nature.

LIC AAO Mains Exam Pattern 2023

  1. Candidates appearing in the prelim exam will be shortlisted for the main examination. 
  2. LIC AAO’s main exam consists of Objective Test (300 marks) & Descriptive Test (25 marks).
  3. Both the exams will be conducted online mode. 
  4. The descriptive exam will be through typing on the computer.
  5. There will be a negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer.
