SBI PO recruitment 2019: Notification expected to be out in April
The State Bank of India, the country’s largest lender, is expected to release the notification for SBI PO Recruitment 2019 in the month of April.
Every year the state-run bank releases notifications for recruitment of various posts such as Probationary Officer (PO), Specialist Officer (SO) and Clerical posts. Based on the past trend, it is assumed that notification for the SBI PO 2019 examination is expected to be released in April.
Once the official notification will be released, all the candidates can check the same on the official website – sbi.co.in/careers.
Earlier this week, the bank announced the recruitment of Specialist Cadre Officers (SO), on a regular and contractual basis, for over 11 vacant posts. The application process has already begun on January 9 and the last date for online registration is January 31. According to a notification issued on January 9, SBI has invited online applications from Indian citizens for as many as 31 SO posts.
SBI PO Recruitment selection procedure:
The SBI conducts an examination in two phases preliminary and main. Candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for the main examination and shortlisted candidates in the main examination will subsequently be called for a group discussion and interview.
How to apply
Candidates will be required to register themselves online through Bank’s website www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in. After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through online mode by using debit card/ credit card/Internet Banking during specified dates given in the respective advertisement.
Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the conditions.
Candidates should not be below 21 years and not above 30 years as on eligibility date as given in the related advertisement. The relaxation of upper age is allowed for scheduled caste/ scheduled tribe, other backward classes (Non-Creamy Layer) and persons with disabilities (PWD).
SBI PO 2019 | SBI PO Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to meet the following eligibility criteria for the post of SBI PO:

|Educational Qualification||i) The candidate should have a graduation degree in any of the streams such as B.Com, BSc, BA, B.Tech. etc. from a recognized university by the Central or State Government of India.
ii) Candidate should have a fair knowledge of Computer operation.
|Language Proficiency||The candidate should be proficient in reading, writing or speaking the official language of his State/UT.|
|Nationality||Candidates applying for SBI PO Exam should be one of the following: i) Citizen of India
ii) A subject of Nepal or Bhutan
iii) Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam or from East India countries of Kenya, Tanzania, Zaire, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia, Malawi with the intention of settling permanently in India.
iv) Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
– Candidates belonging to categories ii, iii or iv must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favor.
|Age||Applicants should be more than 21 years old and less than 30 years old while applying for the exam. The age relaxation for different categories are as follows:i) SC/ST- 5 years
ii) OBC Non-Creamy Layer- 3 years
iii) Persons with Disabilities (PWD)- 10 years
iv) Ex-Servicemen- 5 years
v) Domicile of Jammu & Kashmir during the period of January 1, 1980, to December 31st, 1989
SBI PO Application Fees
SBI PO application fees are to be paid online. Fees/intimation charge is non-refundable and non-transferable for any future exam. The category-wise application fees for SBI PO 2019 are as under:

Applicants can pay the application fees through Credit cards, Debit cards, and Internet Banking, Mobile Wallet/Cash Cards, and IMPS. It is to be noted that there is no offline payment of fees.
