List Of Important Days in October 2022 with Themes

1st October – International Day of Older Persons

The International Day of Older Persons was observed on 1st October. On December 14, 1990 the United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution 45/106 and declared October 1 as International Day of Older Persons. This day is observed in order to raise awareness about the issues affecting older persons.

1st October – World Vegetarian Day

World Vegetarian Day is observed on 1st of October of every year.  In 1977, the North American Vegetarian Society (NAVS) founded the World Vegetarian Day and in the year of 1978, this day was endorsed by the International Vegetarian Union.

1st October – International Coffee Day

International Coffee Day is observed on 1st of October of every year. In 2014, the Member States of ICO organized the International Coffee Day.
