- In the NIACL AO exam pattern 2023 for mains, 2 parts are available – Objective and Descriptive.
- One-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty for wrong answers in the mins exam.
- Objective Test is conducted for 200 marks and Descriptive test is conducted for 30 marks.
- Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online.
- Descriptive Test should be answered by typing on the computer.
- Immediately after finishing the Objective Test, the Descriptive Test will open on the screen.
- Each candidate has to clear the sectional cut off for each section of objective test separately for shortlisting for the Descriptive test evaluation/Interview.
- The descriptive answer script is evaluated only for those who qualify the objective test.
- Qualifying marks in the descriptive test shall be 15/30 (13.5/30 for SC, ST, and PwBD).
- It is required to qualify in the descriptive test, but the marks in the descriptive test will not be counted towards shortlisting for interview or final selection.
