SBI Clerk Exam Pattern

SBI Clerk is a two-stage examination consisting of Prelims and Mains followed by an opted local language test. The SBI Exam Pattern for Clerk Prelims is qualifying in nature which is followed by the SBI Clerk Mains whose marks are added to the merit list. The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State as mentioned in the notification.

Phase I: SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern 2023

Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks is conducted online. This test is of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

Phase II: SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern

SBI Clerk Main Examination consists of Objective Tests for 200 marks. The below table shows the detailed pattern of the SBI Clerk exam

Note:
 There will be a negative marks of 1/4th in both prelims as well as mains exam. Also, there is a sectional timing in both the phase of SBI Clerk Exam.

The merit list will be framed as per the mains stage marks but it is important to go through the specified opted language.

Test of specified opted local language:

After qualifying the IBPS Clerk Mains exam, candidates have to qualify for specified opted local language tests. Those who produce 10th and 12th standard mark sheets having specified local language will not be subject to any language test. Candidates not found proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.
